What do you do to stay active and healthy? I play beach volleyball twice a week, rollerblade and jog regularly. In the winter I do yoga and in the summer I also hike Vancouver’s Grouse Grind.
What features do you look for in a bikini? Halters are the most flattering for my athletic upper body and broad shoulders. Comfort is also very important, as I’m less of a fashionista and more of a functionalist.
Why do you like wearing a bikini? More vitamin D! They are flattering, yet comfortable. If it’s hot enough out to wear a swimsuit, it’s too hot to wear a full-piece. Bikinis are very versatile, and I’m frequently sporting a sarong or pair of shorts when venturing outside of the beach or pool zone.
What is your favourite memory of a time when you were wearing a bikini? Definitely house-boating in The Interior. My friends and I engage in all types of water and beach sports, ranging from tubing and jet skiing, to volleyball and swimming.
Is a woman ever too old to wear a bikini? Too old, no, of course not. As an ex personal trainer, I feel it is important to keep ourselves in as good a shape as possible, at any age, while still having fun and not taking life too seriously. Age is relative, and wearing a bikini should always be an option.
