Why we love aquatic fitness…
Safety and Comfort. Since your body is buoyant in the water, the impact to the joints during exercise is significantly less than on land. A properly designed program in the water provides a highly effective workout in a safe and gentle environment.
Resistance. Muscles must work against resistance to become developed and toned. Because of its higher viscosity, water provides more resistance than air, making each movement in the pool more challenging to the muscles.
Health Benefits. Exercise in the water can aid in the prevention and management of osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, and back issues.
Here are a few of our favourite aquatic fitness accessories, designed to help tone specific areas of your body:
TONE YOUR UPPER BODY

Hydro-Resistant Hand Training Paddles
The paddle square design increases the surface area of your hand, thus providing more resistance with each stroke of the arm. Available in multiple sizes to accommodate varying skill levels, training paddles are a great way to develop stroke technique and upper body strength.

Pull Buoy
Placed in between the legs, a pull buoy develops upper body strength and technique by suspending and floating your legs. It’s designed to add an additional workload to the arms for a greater training effect. Pulling can be performed with paddles to add extra emphasis to the workload of the arms, or add a pull buoy between your ankles to ensure a tough core workout, as you try to keep the buoy balanced and in place. Compared to flat floats, the contoured shape of a pull buoy allows longer swim sets to be achieved.
TONE YOUR LOWER BODY

Training Fins
The short, wide structure of a training fin promotes a smooth, powerful kick for increased propulsion and ankle mobility. Kick from the hips to engage all of the leg muscles.
Kickboard
Designed to build leg strength, a kickboard immobilizes the arms and isolates the legs so your lower body works harder with every kick.
